Hi I am new "kid" on the block. The Colvins became addicted to kayaking after a trip to San Juan Islands last year. Had a great time and now are in the process of figuring out how to get into the sport long term. I have enjoyed the threads on Cost of Kayaking and too cold to paddle. I represent a family of 4. My wife and I are 40something with a daughter 12+ and a son 9. We live in Colorado so most of our day and weekend trips will be to lakes and mild rivers, with the occational trip to the coasts. We are planning a trip to Glacier National park to include paddling Kintla Lake (anybody been there?) this year. I hope to reed and learn from you all. Far warning to Mark Zen and Ralph Diaz you'll be hearing from me. Folding kayaks interest me a great deal. Thanks for and great list to read and maybe in the future I'll have something to contribute.
