I've been getting plenty of use out of it...as I go out most every weekend.

There is good and bad about every boat. As you are aware, very boat is a
tradeoff for something else. The falcon is Fast... which translates into
less effort to paddle at "touring speeds." For most touring, the Falcon is
just fine. It holds plenty of gear. It is perhaps the most comfortable
boat I have sat in. What I don't like about it is that it lacks
maneuverability. I've seen some manufactuers (Valley) modify the skeg by
filling it in completely...then the new owner trimmed down the skeg to make
it more maneuverable.

Second thing about the falcon is the tendency to pearl. The bow is not too
boyant. So, when waves reach about 5 ft and are beginning to break the
Falcon will pitchpol. I'm sure all boats will pitchpol at some point. I
think the Romany will probably handle a bit more rough water than the
Falcon.

The Valley Jubilee, may well be a better "rough water" boat than the
Romany... It is more "tippy" for sure. I've enjoyed the Falcon and I've
enjoyed playing in the surf with it. The Romany is a "beefier" boat, but
also heavier...

I doubt the Romany will be my "last boat." I'm still getting to know boats
and kayking...
