I found an inexpensive epoxy called "East Epoxy". It is supposed to be as
good as West. I was told not to use kevlar, as it fuzzes with abraison,
then soaks up water. I bought a long strip of UHMW. 3/4 " X 1/2". I am
going to bolt it in through the strips of cloth epoxied tape and hull,
creating a giant replaceable rub strip and better keel line for tracking
the HS Nordkapp. The BC Ferries use UHMW for rub rails (not sure where,
maybe as bow protection when running over kayakers!), so I hope I'm in good
company (for running over my buddie's kayak in the surf). :-)
