What: Boat Builder's Demo Day 
When Saturday, April 17, 1999, ~1:00 pm to 3:00 pm  (right after the Boat 
Builder's Forum below)
Where: Newport Aquatic Center

Bring your homebuilt boat or just bring yourself, and try out kayaks that 
others have built. This is the chance to test drive that kayak design you 
have been thinking of building. There should be a good variety of 
construction types: stripper, stitch n glue and skin on frame, as well as a 
variety of different designs. Also see homebuilt spray skirts, paddles and

When: Saturday, April 17, 1999, 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
Where: Southwind Kayak Center, http://www.southwindkayaks.com/

"Bring your home-built kayak, in any stage of completion and meet casually 
with other kayak builders and their boats on our front lawn. Everyone shares 
the experiences, joys and pains of building their own. Or just come to look 
and chat if you're contemplating building one yourself."

endorsement. We announce this event because it's one you donut want to miss, 
and we like to get together on the water right after the Boat Builder's Forum 
to try out each others’ boats.
