I have been seasick many many times. Always aboard big ships in monsterous/confused seas. My friends daughter gets seasick walking on floating yacht docks. She cannot ride on any boats even in flat calm water. Everyone is different. I came across a couple of kayakers in SC and one of them was sick. Seas were 1-2 ft. She was also a smoker I wonder if there is a relation. I tried Dramamine a couple of times but it makes me really tired and ultimately I always got sick. Scapolomine definately stopped the sickness but I hallucinate. I still had decent decision making capabilities though (turned the conn to someone else). A local deep water sailor has the same experiences with these 2 drugs and he recommends Sturgeron. It is not available in the US but is over the counter in many countries (he gets it in Bermuda). No drowsiness, long term relief. I have never had the opportunity to try it. Comments anyone? Many people swear by the pressure points on the wrist. My girlfriend almost yaked on a fishing boat and I just pinched her wrists for a while. I don't know if it was the pain of the pinch or the accupressure or the work of the mind but it worked. I would really like to hear from anyone that has used Sturgeron.
