Gnats will get to any part that isn't covered by clothing sprayed with it and you can not use it on skin. The bug veil does not work as well as another brand ( don't know the name) that has a 1/4 inch mesh between you and the screen, this keeps the screen from contacting your skin and the little buggers being able to bite you thru it.
