Dear PaddleWise friends, It has been a rough week dealing with the failure of our little expedition from Bella Bella to Port Hardy (along the West Coast of Canada). After my close call at Trial Island (SK Magazine, Dec 1998), I swore I'd never get myself into a situation where my options were non-existent. I've done a lot of reflecting this week, been berated by the local kayak community, and had many a friend ask me why I went with the the other two paddlers when I knew there was a potential for problems with the mix. At this point I don't care about Copyright issues or what other paddlers think about writing up a report for PaddleWise, if you guys want it. It would be fairly long. Please let me know your wishes, and I'll comply with the majority.
