I appreciate all the feedback regarding my request for input. Many PaddleWisers would like to here details of the trip and rescue off the Storm Islands. I met with the other two paddlers today - the first time we have all talked to each other at the same time since the incident. We asked each other the hard questions, pointed fingers, confessed, etc. We also agreed to not forward to the general public, including this list, any details until we all write individual reports and the coalesce them into one. I agreed, only if all the dynamics of the situation are brought to light. We agreed that there are some legal and ethical considerations, and whatever we say should be carefully thought out, so please hold on for the time being. Some of you have asked me questions individually, which I will be pleased to respond to as time permits, but would be between corespondents only. Please be advised that this trip was well thought out (months of preparations), that the Canadian Coast Guard had nothing but praise for us, and that the crossing had not been on the original agenda. Also, please be advised that the two boats (not mine) that suffered damage at sea were very old boats that had seen a fair bit of abuse. Thank you for time.
