Phil's use of the Thermarest pad is a good one. I also used one, but inappropriately. Mine was flat against the inside of the hull in my Pygmy Osprey Std. That did not work out for me. I had major butt soreness and muscle soreness in the muscles of my legs. I replaced it with a carved minicell foam seat custom tailored to my tush and the lower surface of my upper thighs. Now I am comfy all day. I'm convinced that supporting the upper part of my legs is vital for my comfort in a cockpit. -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Tue Apr 20 1999 - 08:25:19 PDT
