On the subject of glasses, I recently purchased the soft plastic "bifocal" inserts at Walgreens and they are wonderful! I have em in my polarized mirrored kayaking glasses as well as my Ray Bans. The extra lenses don't come off when wet but can be peeled off and used in other glasses. ---------- I recently visited my eye doctor for a 2 year checkup. While there I asked about the impact of sunlight on cataracts (yup, got them too) and that I spend a lot of time on the water. She indicated there is an effect and indicated my tinted trifocals were not sufficient for that kind of light. She said either prescription or Polarized sunglasses are the way for me to go. Since I can see 'ok' without the glasses I'm going to try the Polarized sunglasses first. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Thu Apr 22 1999 - 07:05:07 PDT
