The Led flashlight works great! I bring 2 with me. An amber to use around
the campsite (absolutely invisible to bugs and doesn't trash your night
vision) and a white one to use for reading in the tent and as a beacon for
night paddling.

Others on the list have made their own lights and seem to have had great
success.

My experiment using an IC to pulse the LEDs to increase intensity has had
mixed results.

I was out of Flamingo in the Everglades this weekend with my
new Nitelite.
It became immediately apparent that this is not a suitable
tent for beach
camping. I probably should have been suspicious when the
tent came with 15
		stakes...

Never mind the tent, Bob, how is your LED flashlight doing?
