Thomas Unger <unger_at_tumtum.com> and I have been having a dialog about the difficulty of getting a permit to sea kayak on Gwaii Haanas (the Park on South Moresby) during late July/early August this summer. It sounds like we may be getting different stories from the folks at Parks. Is anyone else having difficulty getting a permit? I could not get a reservation for the first two weeks of August even though I started trying in early March. I guess I will have to go up there and hope to get some of the walk-in spots available each day. Makes me kinda grumpy. I'd like to hear of the experiences of others.
