Bob, We have a video on the making of the Toksook at the center. Basically, it's sort of "Derek reinvents the Greenland paddle". The amount of work that goes into making one is incredible. It is no wonder that they are not cheap and (I suspect) anything but light. The physical description by Kevin is pretty right-on. I would certainly like to demo one sometime myself sometime; it's certainly an interesting design. If anyone wants to see a picture, scour through past issues of Sea Kayaker. They used to be advertised there.
