Having been subject to motion sickness since I was small (or so my Mom
says...) I've had to experiment with a number of remedies. Like many,
the Dramamine knocks me out. I also experimented with the scopolamine
patches during a dive trip, but they didn't stay on well when subjected
to repeated submersion in salt water.

A few years back I FINALLY found a winner — an over-the-counter med
called "Bonine." One small tablet works for 24 hours and best of all,
doesn't seem to induce any drowsiness in anyone I know who has tried it.

I've tried the "Sea Bands" which put pressure on the "nulgien point"
(sp?) in the wrist. Some of my dive buddies swear by them; however, I
have found that for me, they reduce the urge-to-purge only slightly.
I've also heard about the powdered ginger solution, but the Bonine works
so well for me that I haven't been tempted to try anything else.
