I rinse the bags with a mild bleach solution and then rinse again prior to next use. While we're on the subject of hydration, has anyone noticed the strange things that grow in Gatorade? ------------------------------------------- Hmmm, yes. I thought I was the only one seeing the "strings." I used to buy the large jugs of Gatorade and fill up the quart bottles to take on trips. I stopped that after seeing TheStrings. So does anyone know/have a clue as to what TheStrings could be? Do we really want to know? 8-) Later... Gatorade is an excellent growth media. Unrefrigerated Gatorade once opened or mixed is only "safe" for a couple of hours. I store water in the large Platy's and mix small quantities of Gatorade in a small Platy. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Denton <BDenton_at_aquagulf.com> To: romeug_at_erols.com <romeug_at_erols.com>; Brian Jernigan <nbd1bpj_at_corpmail.ups.com> Cc: PaddleWise_at_lists. intelenet. net <PaddleWise_at_lists.intelenet.net> Date: Thursday, April 29, 1999 8:18 AM Subject: RE: [Paddlewise] Use of "Hydration Systems"? and Gatoraid Gunk >I rinse the bags with a mild bleach solution and then rinse again prior to >next use. Can't see anything in the canals! In fact, they found a couple dozen cars a few weeks ago including some collectibles because a fisherman noticed something on his fish finder. Anyone visiting Florida: don't underestimate the canals for some interesting paddling, especially the more westerly canals. cu -----Original Message----- From: Gabriel L Romeu [mailto:romeug_at_erols.com] Sent: Thursday, April 29, 1999 9:54 AM To: Bob Denton Cc: Brian Jernigan; PaddleWise_at_lists. intelenet. net Subject: Re: [Paddlewise] Use of "Hydration Systems"? and Gatoraid Gunk Bob Denton wrote: > > I rinse the bags with a mild bleach solution and then rinse again prior to > next use.
