[Paddlewise] cowboy scramble rescue

The pump/paddlefloat/reenter & roll thread seems to have received
another good workout, but I haven't seen any mention of the "cowboy
scramble" type of rescue this time around. The scramble allows the
paddler to empty the boat completely and climb back in with no pump,
float or other equipment required.

Unfortunately, being somewhat of a big oaf, I am a long way from having
mastered this technique. But, it is great practice and working on it has
helped improve my ability to perform other types of rescues. Plus, it's
great fun to watch you fellow paddlers try it for the first time!

There is an article on the cowboy scramble on the Seakayaker Magazine
site at http://www.eskimo.com/~seakayak/aug96/tech1.htm
