[Paddlewise] Old Town Loon and Sea Kayaking

I recently acquired an Old Town Loon 120 primarily for flat water
kayaking on quiet rivers etc.  I am planning my annual vacation to Maine
and contemplating poking around in the Loon on quiet days in protected
waters off the coast, harbors and such.  I am a beginner.  I also am
getting a spray skirt for it.  I don't intend to ever travel far from
shore and won't take it out in chop.

Has anyone used a Loon 120, 100 or similar model for sea kayaking?  If
so, how did it handle and is it suitable?  Thanks
