Hi all, Presently I have a large kayak by a Canadian manufacturer called a Dimension Nomad. I'm thinking of getting something a little smaller, but can still use for a weekend trip. I am in a paddling group, have only been out a couple times so far with them, and have seen many different kayaks. We paddle all kinds of flat water, some are on Lake Ontario & Lake Erie, others on small & larger rivers. I do want something that can handle varying kinds of conditions, and would want something with a rudder if conditions require it. I'm 5' 8", and weight 215 lbs. (although I'm working at losing that) I've been looking at the Dagger Edisto Expedition & the Necky Looksha Sport. I plan to get out and do some test paddle with them in the next month or so, but would like opinions from those of you who own either kayak or have tried either or both. I know kayaks are very personal, but would like to hear from you all about this, or any other boats around the same size. Thanks all in advance.
