[Paddlewise] FW: side rescue

As I recall, I was roughly parallel to you on your beam more than a kayak length away, so I thought turning and coming in for a bow rescue would be faster than using a draw stroke to cover the distance. It turned out my turn was neither as quick nor had as small a radius as I wished! In Linda's case, my bow was already pointed approximately in her direction.

Chuck, If you knew of the side to side eskimo rescue, why did you try to
turn to do a bow rescue when I "suprised" you with a capsize last year.
Please let me know before tomorrow's paddle, just in case you suggest trying
to practice rescues again.

Dana
