Someone asked me what "koosies" were.  Is that a localism or did I
spell it wrong?  Those are what we call those foam insulated thingies 
you put your cold beer can in to keep it cold longer (or pepsi... uuuuhmmm, 
yes, I meant to say pepsi).  In the above scene, the koosies were being 
used by the two paddlers for carrying their cold beers while paddling
down the river.... tied around their necks.

Koosies... also known as Baptist brew holders (I can say this since I 
was reared Baptist :-p ).
