If you really want a WW-type bulkhead to rest your feet on, Dagger or Perception would be happy to sell you one. Remove the footpegs, plug the holes. Then drill 2 new holes on each side about mid thigh. This is where the bulkhead straps anchor. It will be completely adjustable. Stick your head inside an Overflow or something and you'll see how it works. Then again, some thicker shoe soles would be a whole lot easier.
