| Just signed up for paddlewise today - pretty effective. Welcome, Paddlewise is one of the best forums I have seen. The people here know how to play well together in the same sandbox. Jackie, our ListMom, has a light hand and lets us children play as long as we don't throw too much sand out of the box. The only flames that I have heard about was the Sp***nMan stuff. You can't say his name or bad things happen. I did witness his antics on the r.p.b. newsgroup. Now a days the most rancour you might see is more toast than flame. Light toast that is maturely done. There are some very knowledgeable people on this list who are more than willing to help out. I wish I had found this place before I had bought a kayak. I still would have bought the same yak but I would have known much more about kayaking and would have been far safer. I think I have 4-6 books on sea yaks but this list is far better than the books. Far better. While I'm singing praises.... As a thank you to Jackie, I'm on another list that is photography related. It just got taken over by a new ListBoss and the difference between the old ListBoss and the new is very noticeable. I have the utmost respect and gratitude to the people who provide the time and resources to manage a mailing list. It is alot of work that can take up to much time from someone's life. We members really depend on and look forward to the list and I wonder sometimes if the a list becomes a ball and chain for the ListBoss. I'm very thankful for the PlayPlace Jackie provides for us and how she runs it. The ListBoss on the photography list makes me REALLY appreciate the great job Jackie does. Thank you, Jackie.
