I have successfully stored my Yukon Expedition for a couple of years by making two separate loops from one inch climbing webbing. I have placed them at the 1/3 point from each end, as recommended by the manufacturer, and hung it by the loops. And yes, DEFINITELY out of the Sun! Actually, it is in my front entrance hall.
