Hello all! The URL for the new PaddleWise website is: http://www.paddlewise.net/ Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. Much of it is still under construction and, of course, will continue to grow. I've thought it might be helpful to have a links page that includes links to websites belonging to PaddleWise folks. Also, I've started a PaddleWise Photoalbum :-) Ari Saarto has submitted the first photos with an attached trip story, "Visiting the Russian Border". Great photos and report, Ari! Thanks! :-) I will keep an easy-to-access archive of photos submitted to the Photoalbum. The intent is to provide a place where PaddleWise folks can share photos and stories of their trips in one place. So please, send your favorite photographs. We love to have stories, but they are not mandatory for the Photoalbum (likewise, photos are not mandatory for the "Stories" section). The "About this photo...." photograph on the PaddleWise home page will be changed periodically and an announcement will be sent notifying the list. As I mentioned in my previous post, Chuck Holst has updated his article on Making Greenland Paddles adding new information about the history and styles and some new illustrations and tips for people with woodworking experience. That can be found at: http://www.paddlewise.net/topics/boatequip/ along with his new article on making your own dry bags.
