Thanks to all contributors - a grand set of names, stories, history and
rationales - FWIW Here as promised are the stat's from this somewhat
unscientific, sample! Tis better to travel than to arrive :-)

34 names were submitted not including alternate names
19 list members were in favour of names for kayaks
3 were decidedly not
6 were on the fence.

Only 2 out of 148 Atlantic Sea Kayaker seem to publicly name boats
If you're a contemporary of Roosevelt and an ACA member then probably about
766 of you name boats and maybe 190 don't
Hiawatha didn't (at least not according to Longfellow)

Reasons were as many as the number of contributors but included an elegant
refutation of John Donnes "No man is an island" ; a sentimental memory of
alligator wrestling, family tradition, life with cats, philosophy, art,
survival and something about manufacturing boats from rubber. I've collated
them with minor editing to remove repetition if anyone wants a copy and if
thats allowed? (Is that OK Jackie - contributors?)

Anyway my Klepper is named "Rebyl" - I'll buy all of you who work it out and
visit Sydney a beer or any other drink of your choice!

Thanks again - PeterO
