Water shoes from Shoe Carnival in the U.S. They are $24 and they usually have a sale where you can get a second pair of shoes for 1/2 off. I have a wider foot and they are comfortable. Blue quick drying fabric on top (neoprene?) and black rubber soles. They are not at my location so I can't give you a brand name but they are made in the U.S.A. > Does anyone wear bare feet? No one? I have *paddled* in my bare feet in the past but am reluctant to do it anymore. In the event of a quick exit I don't want to be fumbling with shoes. I don't want to risk stepping on the unseen sharp rock, shell, broken beer bottle, or fish hook on my way to land. Shoes out of the boat are a must. Two weeks ago I steeped on a screw pointing up 2" out of the ground by some rocks at the put-in, but was unscathed. Luckily it was a machine type screw with a flat end instead of a pointed end. -Bob M.
