I can certainly lend my opinion in support to what appears to be a affable and totally uneffected young athlete. Having met Maligiaq in Charleston this April, he took an interest in some baidarkas that were being constructed under a tent adjacent to the bleachers and demo area that he was working, indeed he tied a VERY credible lashing on Ken Winter's 17 footer under construction.....(If there was ever any question to that particular controversy.......Greenlanders BELIEVE in tight lashings!!!!) ....... and the youth seemed to take a special interest to my own ten year old son (something of an athlete himself, in his own right, says I with pardonable fatherly pride), as Sam took to the ropes stretched for Maligiaq's rope gymnastics demonstration, and did quite well on them with the Greenlander's help.....so much so that the kid came home and evicted the swings from his monkey bars and installed ropes. Best of luck in Quebec Maligiaq! Smoke 'em! Mark Zen wrote: > On Fri, 23 Jul 1999, Colin Calder wrote: > > Nice to see all the responses to the call for help re Maligiaq racing > > in Canada.
