The instructor at the kayaking class I took several years ago, told us to pee in our wetsuits. His theory was that urine is sterile, and mostly warm water with little environmental effects. While there are exeptions to all of his premises, I think he was mostly right. I have exited by boat to pee in the water and actually prefer that approach to trying to pee standing up in a kayak. The later can be done at least in theory if you have great balance or good friends stabilizing your boat for you.
