The skegbox in my Caribou does take up a little room, but I pack the tent and tarp on either side and don't lose too much. It's name changes. Currently it is La Banane Sauvage (The Wild Banana) due to it's color. It sure is pretty. I carry Sky Blazers in my vest. I bought a little plastic 12-gauge jerry-gun-like flareshooter (because I'm gear queer and I was in West Marine and I hadn't bought anything in a month) to keep below deck. Somebody told me somebody sells parachute flares for it. A long metal shell which protrudes from the short barrel. Anybody ever see them? Seems like the hang time would be nice to have. p.s.
