I've been away in South Africa but I did a lot of research and ordered a number of small light weight WATERPROOF binoculars for kayaking including 2 different brunton, bushnell, zeiss and eventually leica. All but the leicas were unacceptable, either optically or mechanically. I tried 2 pairs of the Zeiss classics and they were terribly distorted.
