Good memory!!!  I thought everything I said went in one ear and out the
other.

I was with Caveman when he bought several PFDs, good ones...Lotus
Designs.  He said interestingly given the title of this string of posts
that one should do as the Romans do.

Also he seemed impressed at how chaotic and rough the waters were off
the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the latter particularly.  Wind
and current in opposition and numerous wakes.  The situation complicated
with all the above bouncing off the various angles of seawall of Ellis
and the flood current swirling around both sides of the island to clash
against itself in a shallow area just beyond.

He seemed to be very happy to be wearing the PFD and in no mood to go
diving.  :-)
