I use one on one eye only- for distance- and use the other eye for reading. This is known as mono vision. Sounds weird but it really works if your correction isn't too severe. Mine is -1.75. Contacts are not a panacea however. I have often had mine offset or washed out when I mis-timed a wave crashing into my face. I've also had it blown out of my eye while road biking even though I wear Oakleys. Has anyone tried the new procedure where a plastic ring is inserted on your eyeball to correct vision? It sounds like a better option than laser surgery but I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone who has tried it.
