Re: [Paddlewise] Leonid meteor shower

I hope it's as good as last year. This is part of my journal from last 
years Leonids.
**TUE, NOV 17,1998-Ft Sumner lake**
Headed to the lake early monday morning with the super strapped on the
top. On arriving I first noticed the glowing yellow colors of the cotton
woods reflecting in the lake of glass. I then noticed that the island
wasn't an island, but a large penensula. Yes the water was down.

Drove down and unloaded the super directly into the lake and packed up my
gear and mounted (stepped the mast) and cast off.(still no wind)

Spent the whole day just paddling around and raising and lowering the
sail.(hardly anywind). Night found me clear across the lake, on the north
side.(still no wind)

Monday night was picture perfect(no wind), clear and I was intertained by
hundreds of meator streaks across the sky. I have neve seen any thing
like that! 3+second burns. Even saw my last one after it got light.

This was a frist time for me to be at a good dark place, clear skys, AND 
have the show go as planned.
