[Paddlewise] Kites etc

	Matt et al,

	Your 'tiger by the tail' kite experiences have a familiar ring to them! I
second all that and I would agree that a kite has the potential to be a
dangerous accessory.  It is all those lines and their capacity to snarl up
on deck fittings, rudder, not to mention the retrieval problems of a failed
launch.
	And yet..... there is something inherently satisfying in hitching on to
the power of the wind.....if it is going your way!  There is no doubt a
parafoil generates far more  'pulling' power than an equivalent sail.
