We have several parafoil kites ranging in size from about 4ft X 1ft to 10ft X 2ft. A good gust into the larger kite will literally pull me off of my feet! Don't think I'd want to try it in a boat! Our kites are "stunt" kites, meaning that they are flown on two lines, 100 to 150 ft long, which allows the kite to be maneuvered. (Great BIG fun, I highly recommend it! See <http://www.intothewind.com/> if you don't have a local kite shop.) We have yet to find a good way to launch them without a helper. Is this the style you are using to provide motive power, and if so, how do you manage the lines? Thanx, and ByeBye!
