Debbie,

  I don't know how long a line you need nor its intended function, but you
might try the line in a throwbag - the kind commonly carried by whitewater
paddlers.  They come in a variety of diameters and lengths - up to about
75ft.  The rope in my throw bag is 3/8" Spectra and 75ft long.  Very strong
and it floats.
