Have been to Desolation Sound numerous times and have never seen a bear at all but have never been into the river valleys at the head of Bute or Toba Inlet but am thinking of going to either of these areas before the end of summer. Will make a posting of any bears seen PS Have seen numerous bears in the high country in California and a fair number in my backyard.
