Hi good kayaking people,

Does anyone have some suggestions for serious day kayaking routes around
Long Island's south shore (Moriches Bay and nearby)?

Perhaps more important, can you share any warnings about tides, currents,
and dangerous surprises.

I'll be down there next week visiting folks and can't resist checking it
out.  Maybe someone will be interested in joining me and a friend of mine
for some informative paddling.
