To think I wasn't sure if I was going to use e-mailing very much!!

OK, things are starting to come together - as we "speak"

Have just had an online Instant Message conversation with Maligiaq. He is
definitely coming to Miami. Scott Baxter (mad poodle) is at this moment
driving up to Mt. Dora which is not far from Orlando (where M's boat is
stored with Greg Stamer).
He is trailering an 18-footer and will bring M's boat back on Sunday. He can
also arrange for under cover storage until M gets here. WHEW - THAT'S ONE!!

Maligiaq has asked me to try and borrow a surf ski for him: narrow, light,
18-20'

Mike Bradley added the following info: "try to find the narrowest, longest
boat you can and preferably one with a small cockpit because he is used to
bracing his knees on the decking directly above them....feels more
comfortable with his knees directly in front of his body...his own boat is as
wide as his waist and the cockpit coaming is just a tad larger than his belt
size."

Geno (M's father) said: "his boat is under 18" wide and only about six inches
deep at the front of the cockpit." This will be for the rolling
demonstration and I understand they (?) will provide a narrated tape that
someone knowledgeable here (ANY VOLUNTEERS?) can learn and then
interpret/relay to the audience as he performs. At least this is what I
think is supposed to happen. Remember, I'm winging this!!!!

This is being copied to local outfitters, paddlers and the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation race coordinator (Jose Luis Castillo), so excuse repetitions.

Flash: just spoke with race coordinator. Everything is OK with them also.
