First, thanks to everyone who replied. After chatting with the owner today
he whole heartily agreed that I need to demo the boat before buying. I guess
I just talked to the wrong person yesterday.

The confusion seemed to stem from they just sold off all of their demo
Seawards, but he told me that in no way will prevent me from demoing a new
one.
