[Paddlewise] Big Lagoon State Park, FL

Hi Guys,
  I'm headed to Pensacola at the end of the week with some non-paddling
friends.  The main objective of this trip is the consumption of large
amounts of various kinds of seafood.  However, a guy can't eat all day (I
know. I've tried.).

I was thinking of taking my Acadia along and doing some paddling in Big
Lagoon State Park. It looks from the topos like a nice protected area
suitable for a rank amateur paddling alone like me.  Any first hand
experience, comments?
