I would like to point out that Hepatitis can be spread millions of other ways other than water. I am finishing up on my Hepatitis vaccinations right now, it runs me about ten bucks a shot and you need three of them. I know $30 bucks probably could have got me a couple paddle leashes/tethers, but I figure - hey it's my health and having your skin go bright yellow would be creepy. You can treat the symptoms of this disease, but not the illness itself. Vaccinations are available for Hep. A and Hep. B, I don't think anything can be done for preventing C. Hindsight is nice but won't help the poor guy who has it now. "He should have... would he have..." whatever, know the risks and plan ahead. $30 is but a pittance, as the only REAL way to treat yourself once infected is with a liver transplant. By the way, Mexican and South American restaurants do not have near the regulations that U.S. ones do. I have heard of infected salads, fruits, sneezes, handshakes. As well as several infected ladies who lived in my wife's dorm while she was in college. They got infected while in Mexico City. As they only drank bottled water, their physicians suspect it was from the food they ate on various street corners. If you are planning on traveling, get caught up on your vaccinations. You don't have anything if you don't have your health. listen to your mother...
