For the record, I didn't think that Bayside Bob's original comments were particularly homophobic, but to me they did come across as being a bit haughty - as in "those weird creatures." I think his point was that same-sex couples have more in common so they have each other to paddle with, but my former lesbian neighbors used to fight just like other married couples. One loved to camp and fish and the other hated all of that.
