Since were on the subject, has any "casual photographers" tried one of those Aquapac camera cases? They appear to be a bag in which you place a point-and-shoot camera. The bag has a clear lens (with a cover) on one side for the camera to shoot through. They look like they might do a fair job and are inexpensive.
