RE: Chris Duff's circumnavigation of Ireland, 1996 - The book is now available, title "On Celtic Tides" ISBN #0-312-205089. I saw his presentation at the LL Bean kayak symposium last July, and bought the book there. Even for those who have heard the talk and seen the slides, the book is fascinating, and adds significantly to the whole story. It also gives some further insight into Chris' spiritual connection to the paddling, to the sea, and to Ireland. The descriptions of the sea and the weather, the paddling difficulties, are the best-written parts of his story, in my opinion. While I wouldn't consider it one of the best books I've ever read, it is one of the best *travelogues* I've read. I think anyone who has an interest in paddling, and many who don't share that interest, will enjoy the book tremendously.
