Just recieved the plans for the Northbay about a week ago John. I was
looking for a boat that had a smaller beam and longer than the kayak I
am paddling now (not to mention lighter and fiberglass). Seems to have
a low back deck as well, should be as easy (or easier) to roll as well.

It has recieved quite the endorsements of all who I heard paddled it,
seems to be a problem though for those with big feet however.

I have admired the Pygmy boats as well, though I believe that they sell
in kit form only. I have found a reasonably inexpensive okume source
which should minimize cost.

Keep me appraised of your project, as I will be encountering similar
obstacles.
