Sad, but true. If you go to the Lofotens, outside every village you will 
find acres of enormous drying racks, on which the Norse are curing the meat 
of slaughtered tourists. That supposed giving up of their Viking ways and 
converting to Christianity was just a sham to lull travellers into a false 
sense of security, and encourage the arrival of more monks; monk flesh 
(misunderstood as "monk fish" by innocent tourists) is highly prized as the 
"milk-fed veal" of cannibals. So cunning are the Norwegians, they trim the 
tourist flanks into the shape of cod, and export tons and tons of "dried 
cod" to unsuspecting Italians.
