Seasick in a kayak: once. Don't know what it was; maybe the combination
of open ocean swells with heat and humidity on this particular day,
since I'd paddled in swells before with no problem, and since.
Controlled it by focusing my sight in one spot, and heading back to
shore, pronto!

Contributing to the list of things to avoid... the smell of cigarette
smoke.

I've been seasick on a dive trip in Hawaii, too... smell of diesel and
cigarettes... was tossed overboard to bob around in the water for a
while to get over it. Sounds silly, but it worked!

I've used Transderm Scopalamine but found that it affected my judgment
and made me a little too loopy for diving. Yes, I am prone to motion
sickness and have even experienced it on a swing....
