I know of at least 4 sea kayaking guides for California: Guide to Sea Kayaking Central & Northern California by Roger Schumann and Jan Shriner (Globe Pequot Press) Sea Kayaking Northern California by Demice Garepis (McGraw Hill) Adventure Kayaking from the Russian River to Monterey by Michael Jeneid (Wilderness Press) Adventure Kayaking: Trips from Big Sur to San Diego by Robert Mohle (Wilderness Press) Of these, my favorites are the Schuman/Shriner book for nothern Ca trips (especially the open coast trips) and the Mohle book for southern Ca (especially the Channel Islands).
