Mark Eckhart probably knows all there is to know about fixing old Kleppers and has all the parts: Long Haul Products 1685 2075 Drive, Cedaredge, CO 81413 Voice: 970 856 3662 Fax: 970 856 3663fax http://www.klepperservicecenter.com/ > >Then I'll need a sail.....and I'll be all set! > I also bought an old Klepper (double) and bought a sail (Balogh Batwing). I've used it in Baja but not in California. To use it in California as a sailboat I have to register the hull (which I did) and then paint the CF numbers on the hull and attach a state sticker (which I haven't yet done). What concerns me is that: 1) I really don't want a bunch of ugly numbers painted on the hull. 2) Will the numbers and sticker really stick and withstand placement on the flexible Klepper hull? 3) How do other flexible hulled craft (say motor powered zodiacs) deal with this? 4) Is there some solution, such as a plaque with the numbers that can be temporarily attached only while sailing that would satisfy California law?
